Pen or Pin - Bendigo Bank

Currently, when you use your MasterCard, Visa, American Express or Diners Club card to pay for something at a shop you press ‘credit’, and sign to accept the transaction.

From 4 June 2008, participating shops in Australia will be able to accept a Personal Identification Number (PIN), giving you an alternative. Of course, you can continue to sign as you’ve always done.

As a Bendigo Bank cardholder* you would have received a PIN when your debit or credit card was issued. If you don't know your PIN please visit any Bendigo Bank Branch or call 1300 366 666 to arrange a replacement.

If you wish to change your PIN, please go to any Bendigo Bank ATM and follow the screen prompts.

A: A PIN is an alternative form of verification. It does not replace signing but offers cardholders a new choice.

Q: Can I still sign for my payments?
A: Yes. You still have a choice between signing or entering a PIN.

Q: I have a PIN on my card already. Do I need a new PIN?
A: No, you can use your existing PIN.
