Disaster trailer provides first aid

Disaster trailer provides first aid


St John Ambulance has been providing voluntary first aid services to the Katherine Region since 1979.

The Katherine Regional Community Bank® Branch Bendigo Bank and the NT Government in partnership with the Rotary Club of Katherine have donated a $15,000 disaster response trailer packed with medical response equipment, a 100ltr water tank, two first aid kits and a generator to help the organisation with its work.

The generous support of all organisations now gives the division the ability to take resources out to accidents or disasters, giving greater mobility to help. Ultimately the trailer will help St John Ambulance, to help the communities in our vast region.

The division carries out their duties across Katherine and the greater Katherine Region covering approximately 340,000 sq km, making it slightly larger than the state of Victoria.
