Community car helps in cancer fight

Most of us know someone affected by cancer, a family member, a friend, someone we love. You want to know that they can have access to the best care and support on their cancer journey. And you want to know that it’s available now.
Cancer Care is a project Maryborough District Health Service has developed with the community to enhance cancer services with a community car to help transport cancer patients.
Donated by Maryborough Community Bank® Branch and Maryborough Toyota the car will take patients to and from their cancer treatment in Bendigo, Ballarat and Melbourne
“We understand that those with cancer and their loved ones can face a very difficult time for everyone involved and we wanted to be part of something positive for cancer care that takes away some of the anxiety that people face at this time,” Senior Manager Stuart McGibbon said of the bank’s support of the program.
