Community shred day

Here in Elwood, our staff and board look to empower locals in any way we can. One of our core focuses is to enable people to manage their finances safely, tackling the very real problem of identity theft head-on.

We're proud to be working with Victoria Police, Elwood Life Saving Club and Shred On Site. We hope to raise community awareness around the risks, impacts, and realities of identity theft. Educating locals of the risks and helping reduce the likelihood of it happening to them. We also look to the more vulnerable in the community, so we've involved groups like Linking Neighbours and Safety for Seniors.

People can have their personal documents shredded on the spot, with all the shredded paper being recycled. One small but significant step towards a greener future.

Last year's event was nothing short of a success, with all funds raised on the day going to Elwood Primary School. This year all proceeds will go towards the vital work of our local life savers.

On Saturday the 10th of October locals are invited to come down to the foreshore at Elwood Life Saving Club and have their documents shredded.

We are proud to be the major sponsor of Shred Day and this is just one of many examples that show our commitment to our community.
