The Geraldton Community Bank® Branch campaign began in October 2006 when Bendigo Bank officers briefed a group of Geraldton residents about the proposal to establish a branch.
From this meeting‚ a steering committee was formed.
The actual pledge campaign started with a Public Meeting on 14 August 2007 with $800‚000.00 in pledges being reached by mid October 2007.
The Steering Committee decided to move to feasibility in late October 2007 engaging RSM Bird Cameron.
The results of the feasibility study were presented to the committee April 2008 and members decided to proceed with the branch.
Prospectus was launched October 2008 with minimum capital of $1‚100‚000.00 being raised by early February 2009.
