For the second consecutive year, Tassie Branches have been the collection point for coats and blankets for Uniting Care Tasmania.
The Community Sector Banking and Uniting Care Tasmania, Winter Warmer Drive, brought together every branch across our state.
Talk about collaboration!
Helping to keep some of the most vulnerable people in communities across the state warm, was a no brainer.
The generosity of existing and potential customers was overwhelming.
Uniting care Community Services Manager, Lois Van Eimeren knows all too well the difference the donations will make.
"Many people on low incomes do not have the capacity to purchase these types of goods after all of their other living expenses, having a huge impact on children, many of whom miss school because of illness due to the cold," Miss Van Eimeren said.
The winter warmers have now been distributed through emergency relief programs - going to where they're needed the most.
Bigger than a bank.
