Jerrabomberra Community Bank® Branch
A significant amount of work and public consultation has been undertaken in relation to the feasibility of establishing the Jerrabomberra Community Bank® Branch of Bendigo Bank.
A preliminary public meeting was held to discuss the Community Bank® concept and the steps required to establish the Jerrabomberra Community Bank® Branch. As a result‚ the Company engaged an independent consultant‚ AFS & Associates‚ to conduct a feasibility study in relation to the proposal.
The results of the feasibility study were presented to the Directors at a meeting held on 7 December 2009 and it was unanimously voted to proceed towards the establishment of the Jerrabomberra Community Bank® Branch.
A similar process of consultation was undertaken in relation to the Calwell and Wanniassa Community Bank® Branches prior to their establishment.

Curtin Community Bank® Branch
When branch banking services were withdrawn from Curtin in early 2010‚ Molonglo Financial Services Ltd were contacted by local residents and traders about opening a Community Bank® at the Curtin shops.
A significant amount of work and public consultation has been undertaken in relation to the feasibility of establishing the Curtin Community Bank® Branch of Bendigo Bank.
A group of interested community members were briefed by Bendigo Bank during May 2010 in relation to the proposal to establish Curtin Community Bank® Branch and a committee formed to evaluate the proposal.
A preliminary public meeting was held to promote the Community Bank® concept and the steps required to establish a Community Bank® Branch of Bendigo Bank at Curtin.
Later (early 2011)‚ the committee engaged an independent consultant‚ AFS & Associates Pty Ltd to conduct a feasibility study in relation to the proposal.
The results of the feasibility study were presented to the committee at a meeting held during 9 May 2011 and it was unanimously voted to proceed towards the establishment of the Curtin Community Bank® Branch.
Curtin Community Bank® was launched on the 7th June with over 200 people attending to celebrate.

Calwell Community Bank® Branch
The Calwell community is the first in the ACT to open a locally owned and operated
Community Bank® Branch. Together‚ the Calwell and Wanniassa communities
raised $900‚000 in share capital to open their bank branches. Calwell is the
first branch to opened‚ followed closely by Wanniassa.
