Bruce Rock Community Bank® Branch

A lot of work‚ including public consultation‚ went in to determining whether a Bendigo Bank Community BankŪ branch was feasible in Bruce Rock.

It all started on 25 May 2005 when Bendigo Bank officers briefed a group of Bruce Rock residents about the proposal to establish a branch.

From this meeting‚ a steering committee made up of residents was formed.

They organised a preliminary public meeting to discuss and gauge interest in the Community BankŪ concept and the steps required to establish a branch at Bruce Rock.

As a result of that meeting‚ the committee engaged independent consultant‚ RSM Bird Cameron‚ to conduct the feasibility study.

The results of the feasibility study were presented to the committee at a meeting on 8 January 2007.

Members voted unanimously at a meeting on 13 June 2007 to proceed with the branch.

The results of this work will become obvious at the opening.
