Rockingham & Port Kennedy Community Bank® Branches
A group of interested community members was briefed by Bendigo Bank on 14 August 2001 in relation to the proposal to establish Rockingham Community Bank® Branch and a committee was formed to evaluate the proposal.
A preliminary public meeting was held to discuss the Community Bank® concept and the steps required to establish a Community Bank® Branch of Bendigo Bank at Rockingham. As a result‚ the committee engaged an independent consultant to conduct a feasibility study.
The results of the feasibility study were presented to the committee at a meeting held on 11 June 2002 and it was unanimously decided to proceed towards the establishment of Rockingham Community Bank® Branch.
The branch was officially launched on Friday‚ 20 June 2003.
6 years after opening their first branch in Rockingham‚ Rockingham Community Financial Services Ltd have opened their second site at Port Kennedy on 21st December 2009.
