John & Leonie Faull built and operate Rhodoglade Retirement Village in Olinda after operating a retail nursery for some years on the site. The Village was named after the large beautiful red Rhododendron taking pride of place in the front garden. Most occupants at the Village are locals with others moving up the mountain to be nearer their family. A gardener maintains the front gardens and the residents have a small back yard to potter in. John is the manager of the Village and is available to assist residents if needed or just to stop by and have a chat.
The Nursing home‚ which is called “The Lodge” has permanent rooms as well as Respite rooms. All have their own private ensuite. The building is secured for people with ageing and loss of memory concerns. All meals and services are supplied by qualified staff. Many people return saying they are back for a holiday having enjoyed their last stay so much. Being just a small facility we supply a very caring and compassionate environment which all our caring staff specialise in.
