We are now entering into a new stage of our life‚ providing major sponsorships to some of our local organisations.
We now have two branches (Forrestfield and High Wycombe) operating very successfully‚ with High Wycombe just weeks away from celebrating its second birthday.
Paul Moss was appointed as Manager of High Wycombe Bank and is already out and about in the community visiting schools and is becoming well known.
2011 saw the Board initiate Community Forums .
The aim for the forums is to work with the community to identify projects that may be required by the community so that the company can invest our profits into either a project or projects.
Community Banks are designed to invest money back into communities – 'Processes like this are about identifying the most valued projects or community needs' said Phil Mutter Chairman of the Forrestfield and High Wycombe Community Bank Board.
Projects may be small‚ large‚ one off or ongoing‚ and may also be carried out in collaboration with other groups or with state or federal government.
The top 5 projects identified at the forum were –
Respite Centre/house – Alzheimer’s
Autistic school for the 200+ children living in the shire of Kalamunda
Care home for younger people needing fulltime care so they are not placed in aged care homes
Community Hub - Not-for profit office/storage & meeting house e.g. Lotteries house
Teenage forums as to what the youth want in the community
