The Upper Yarra Secondary College is getting a kick out of its new sporting equipment worth $10,000.
The joint sponsorship effort from the Yarra Junction & District and Woori Yallock & District Community BankŪ branches went towards 30 new sleeping bags and a new canoe trailer for outdoor education classes.
Students take part in overnight camps and walks each school term, but some students weren't able to participate because of the cost. The new equipment will allow all students to attend the camps that will develop leadership skills and boost self esteem.
