Balwyn Community Bank® Branch Opens

It was the moment the people of Balwyn and surrounding areas have been waiting for over the last two years - the celebrations to mark the opening of the community’s very own Community Bank® branch on Friday 18 November.
Balwyn Community Bank® Branch Chairman Dick Menting said that the community had established a bank branch that will benefit the community now and into the future.
“It will be a focus for local businesses and residents‚ and a community asset of which we can all be very proud of‚” he said.
“I urge the people of the Balwyn who supported our community to bank with their new Community Bank® branch and help to grow the business.”
Dick said the Balwyn Community Bank® Branch was number 284 in the national Community Bank® network‚ a network that has returned over $62 million in grants‚ donations and sponsorships to a large variety of community groups‚ projects and initiatives.
“The message to the community of Balwyn is that now we are open‚ it’s time to start banking with us‚” Dick said.
“The more people we have banking with us‚ the more we will be able to return to Balwyn.

Balwyn Community Bank® Branch is located at 411 Whitehorse Road‚ Balwyn and is open from 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday and 9am to 12 noon on Saturdays and can be contacted on 9836 8029.
