Community Bank® branch attracting new business

Less than one month after opening and the people of Yarra Junction and surrounding districts are continuing to prove their support of the Community Bank® concept.
Branch staff are opening new accounts every day as people begin the process of transferring their banking across to Yarra Junction District Community Bank® Branch.
Chairman Rodney McKail said the first few weeks had been a steep learning curve not only for the staff‚ but for the community.
“Our staff have been wonderful in their acceptance of the Bendigo way of banking and in gaining a rapid understanding of the products and services available to customers‚” Mr McKail said.
“And local residents‚ traders and business people are taking the time to find out about what our branch has to offer and transferring their banking business.
“Just the thought of having to transfer your home loan or deposit accounts to another institution is enough to make anyone think twice.
“However‚ staff at the branch aim to make the process as trouble-free as possible by assisting where they can.
“At the back of your mind should also be the thought that the sooner you begin to support your local Community Bank® branch‚ the sooner your community will begin to share in the profits.”
Yarra Junction District Community Bank® Branch is located at Shop 1‚ 2452 Warburton Highway‚ Yarra Junction‚ and is open from 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday and 9am to noon on Saturdays.
