Helensvale Branch 1st birthday!

Broadwater Community Forum

Biggera Waters Community Bank® Branch will be holding a community forum for the community of Biggera Waters and surrounding areas to discuss future community projects that can be undertaken with the aid of funds generated by Biggera Waters Community Bank® Branch.

Projects may be small‚ large‚ one-off or ongoing and may also be carried out with other community groups‚ local‚ state or federal government. The aim of the community forum is to make the Biggera Waters wider community a stronger‚ more sustainable and resilient community.

Community Bank® Branches of Bendigo Bank have held numerous successful community forums nationwide with exciting and beneficial results to the community and their residents. Some examples are as large as building a PCYC‚ or as a small as providing play equipment to the local kindergarten.

The community forum will be held on Thursday 1 March 2012 at Labrador Community Hub‚ 57 Billington Street‚ Labrador at 6.30. Finger food and refreshments will be served. For catering purposes please contact Maris

Biggera Waters 10 years

Biggera Waters Community Bank^® branch celebrates 10 years of community banking on 2nd November 2011. The board of the company that runs the Biggera Waters branch and the newly opened Helensvale branch are proud to have achieved this unique milestone. The second branch to open in Queensland‚ only by a matter of weeks‚ Biggera Waters branch not only provides competitive products and services but has helped support many local projects and initiatives over the last 10 years and this has only been made possible by the continual support received from shareholders and customers. That’s because with every product or service we offer‚ money goes back into the community to support local projects and initiatives. It means that as a customer you benefit from competitive products and great service and get the satisfaction of knowing your banking is contributing to your community.

Helensvale Sub Branch Celebrates Opening

The grey clouds and threat of rain couldn’t put a dampener on the much anticipated opening of the Helensvale sub branch on the morning of 29th September‚ 2011. Community leaders‚ residents of Helensvale‚ directors and staff attended the event which was celebrated with loads of free entertainment for the young and mature members of the community including jumping castle‚ AFL clinic‚ sausage sizzle‚ giveaways bags‚ jazz band and celebratory cake.

Robert Knight‚ Chairman of Broadwater Financial Services Limited‚ the company that opened the sub branch and owns the successful Biggera Waters Community Bank^® Branch said‚ "I am pleased that today banking returns to Helensvale with the opening of the branch and I know that with the support of the Helensvale community‚ the branch will no doubt be a resounding success."

The branch was opened by Michael Crandon MP State Member for Coomera‚ Noel Jessop Bendigo & Adelaide Bank State Manager QLD and Robert Knight with around 100 people in attendance.

Helensvale branch will continue with the community bank philosophy of returning a portion of its profits back to the community by way of providing sponsorships to local community organizations. And the branch is already off to a good start with the presentation of a $1‚000 sponsorship cheque to Helensvale Calisthenics on the day. Helensvale Calisthenics President Sarah Chalmers said‚ "This generous sponsorship from the bank will help with the development of our students to enable them to compete in future competitions Australia wide. We are very grateful for their support."

Bendigo Bank Branch Opening in Helensvale

We are very pleased to announce that a Branch of the Bendigo Bank will be opening at the Helensvale Plaza Shopping Centre on the 29th September‚ 2011.

The Board of Broadwater Financial Services Limited and Management of the Bendigo Bank have been working together for over 2 years to achieve this result and are very satisfied that the opening of the Branch is finally coming to fruition. The decision to open the Branch was also supported by the Shareholders of the Company at a recent Extraordinary General Meeting where they voted unanimously to open the Branch. The Company’s decision to issue a Prospectus in 2010 to raise the capital to open a Community Bank^® Branch‚ was unfortunately not supported by the community to the extent that we anticipated‚ however the board continued to explore all options with the support of Bendigo Bank. With the overwhelming support received during the pledge

campaign and the results of the feasibility study‚ it was evident that the Helensvale community wanted a Bendigo Bank Branch at Helensvale Plaza.

Initially the branch will be opening Monday to Friday from 10am to 5pm with the hours of service to increase and include Saturdays as the branch business grows.

The Community Bank^® model is based on directing a portion of its profits back to the community by supporting local clubs‚ schools‚ organisations and community associations. This is only possible with the help of the community. By simply conducting your banking business with the branch‚ you are helping to generate more support for your community.

Broadwater Financial Services Limited has operated the Biggera Waters Community Bank^® Branch for 10 years and has returned over $60‚000‚ back to the community in various forms including Labrador Hockey Club‚ Labrador AFL Club and local primary and secondary schools. The Company has also provided support in Helensvale including Helensvale Golf Club‚ Helensvale Little Athletics and Animal Welfare League at Arundel.

The board‚ staff and Bendigo Bank are looking forward to the opening of the branch and invite you to come along to the official opening which will be held on Thursday 29th September‚ 2011 at 10am at the branch site at Shop 6‚ Helensvale Plaza. In the meantime to assist with enquiries and opening accounts‚ a banking kiosk is now operating inside the Helensvale Plaza from Monday to Friday‚ 10.00 am to 2.00 pm.
