Balances
To display a summary of all your
accounts registered with Bendigo e-banking and their balances,
choose the Accounts category from the top navigation menu and click the Account
Balances item from the side
navigation menu.
Messages
From time to time you may notice
messages appearing at the top of the Account Balances screen
just under the title line.
These messages are typically known as a "call to action" as they require you to take some form of action.
Messages displayed on the Account Balances screen can include items such as:
You have 2
new Secure Emails
You have 3 Authorisations Pending
You have 2
Bulk Payments Pending Acceptance
These messages contain a hyperlink directly to the function
that relates to the message. By clicking on the blue underlined
portion of the message (the hyperlink) you will be transferred
directly to the appropriate function to take action. Once
you have completed the required action (e.g. read your new Secure
Email) the message will be removed from the Account Balances
screen.
The following information will be displayed for each account listed:
Customer Name
The full title of each Customer record you have registered with Bendigo e-banking will be displayed above each account information box with the available accounts for each customer number listed below it.
Account Name
The default account type description (e.g. Savings Account, Statement Account) will be displayed for each account and will show as a hyperlink.
By clicking on the hyperlink you will be taken to the Account History screen and 14 days of history will be displayed for the selected account.
To customise your account name select the Display Options item from the Accounts menu and the Account Descriptions option will be displayed. By entering your own description your accounts are easier to recognise on the Account Balances screen and within Bendigo e-banking.
BSB - Account Number
The BSB number and account number of each account is displayed in this column. These are the numbers you should use to direct funds to or from your account using external systems such as Direct Debits, Direct Credits or other bank’s Pay Anyone services.
Current Balance
The current balance of each account
is listed and will be coloured red if your balance is overdrawn. For a credit card account, a balance shown in red with a 'minus' symbol (-) indicates that your credit card is in a credit balance.
All account balances are current
as of the last time the bank posted transactions to your
account. You may have transactions that have not yet appeared
in the balance (e.g. cheques that have not yet been presented).
Available Funds
Available funds are the amount available for withdrawal from your account. The available funds in your account are equal to the current balance less any amounts that may be on hold (e.g. credit card purchases or cheque deposits).
In the case where your account has an approved overdraft or credit limit the available balance equals the credit limit less the current debit balance, less any amounts on hold.
In the case where a Mortgage Loan account shows the Available Balance as a blue hyperlink, selecting the hyperlink will direct you to the Account Details - Results screen where you can view information regarding the Mortgage Loan account. For further information regarding the Account Details – Results screen please refer to Account Details.
Customer Number
Shows a Bendigo Bank generated customer number and ledger for each account listed.
Note:
Customers will be able to see a maximum
of 99 accounts under each customer number, with a maximum
overall of 99 accounts. When a customer number is first linked
all accessible accounts will be displayed. To reduce the number
of accounts visible under each customer number select
the Display Options item from the Accounts menu and then choose Select
Accounts. Any accounts that you want to exclude from
your display list can be deselected. Any additional accounts
that you want to see can then be selected up to a maximum
of 99 accounts. For further information regarding this feature refer to Display Options - Select Accounts.
