a List of Current Notifications
Account Notifications is a unique facility
offered by Bendigo e-banking. It allows you to set up instructions
so that Bendigo e-banking will notify you by email or fax (or both)
if the balance of any of your Statement or Credit Card accounts
registered with Bendigo e-banking falls below, or rises above, a specified
amount.
Choose the Accounts
category from the top navigation menu then click the Account
Notifications item from the side navigation menu. This
will display the Account Notification window where you can:
- Set up Notifications
- Turn off Notifications
The Account Notification window will display
the following information:
Account
The account name, account number and current balance of each Statement
or Credit Card account registered with Bendigo e-banking.
Notify me if…
If a notification has been established,
the parameters of your notification request will be displayed
(i.e. the lower limit and upper limit amount) while accounts
that do not have associated instructions will display the
words "Not Configured".
Notification
Displays the method of notification
requested when you originally established the notification
instructions (e.g. fax, email, or both). If there are no notification
instructions present the words "Not Configured"
will be displayed.

Setting up a Notification
Indicate which account you wish
to create a notification for by clicking inside the radio
button to the left of the eligible account. When you click inside the button, a dot will appear to indicate that it has been selected. Once the correct account has been selected click on the Set Up Notication button. You will be taken to the Account
Notification Set Up screen where you can enter the following
details to set up a new notification request:
Account/Current Balance
The account number, name and current balance
of the selected account will be displayed. You can use this
information to confirm that the correct account number was
selected.
Balance falls below:
If you want to receive notification
of your account balance falling below a certain amount select
the small box to the left of the amount field by clicking
on it so that a tick is displayed. Enter the lower limit
in figures, using dollars and cents (e.g. 10.00).
Negative amounts can be entered by
prefixing the amount with a hyphen. (e.g. -15.00).
Balance rises above:
If you want to receive notification
of your account balance rising above a certain amount select
the small box to the left of the amount field by clicking
on it so that a tick is displayed. Enter the upper limit
in figures, using dollars and cents (e.g. 550.75)
Negative amounts can be entered by
prefixing the amount with a hyphen. (e.g. -15.00)
E-mail:
Select the small check box to the left of
the word 'Email' if you wish to be notified by Email of any
breach of the threshold limits you have defined. Confirm
the email address is correct and update if necessary.
Fax:
Select the small box to the left of the word ‘Fax’ if you wish to be notified by fax of any breach of the threshold limits you have defined. Confirm the fax number is correct and update if necessary.
When entering your fax number, please enter a valid area code to ensure we can deliver your fax (e.g. 0378990024). Do not include spaces, characters or any other symbols as part of any telephone or fax number you provide to us.
Entering a fax number within Account Notifications will not alter any other fax numbers you have provided within Bendigo e-banking. To change your general information fax number choose the Customer Services category from the top navigation menu then click the Change My Details item from the side navigation menu.
Note: You will not receive additional notifications of further breaches to the threshold limits while your account balance remains outside the limits.
When your account balance returns to
within the threshold limits a new notification will be forwarded
the next time the notification limits are exceeded.

Changing a Notification
If you have loaded notification instructions
incorrectly or if you wish to change the threshold amounts
you can do so in the same way you set up the notification
originally (as described above).

Turning Off a Notification
Indicate which account you wish to turn off a notification for by selecting the radio button to the left of the eligible account. When you click inside the button, a dot will appear to indicate that it has been selected. Once the correct account has been selected click on the Turn Off Notification button. |
