Secure Email is a secure form of communication allowing you to correspond with the Bank, and the Bank to correspond with you.
Secure Email enables you to send enquiries and requests for information to us at any time in a confidential and secure manner. Your message will automatically include your Bendigo e banking Access ID so that we can identify you as the sender.
Reviewing
Secure Email Messages
To view a list of messages you have received from the Bank
choose the Secure Email category
from the top navigation menu and click the Inbox
item from the side navigation menu.
The Inbox screen will then be displayed along with the following
information for each message:
Status
The status of each message will be either:
- New: This is a new message
you have not read
- Read: You have already
looked at the message
A new un-read Secure Email will be shown in bold text to allow for easy identification.
From
The sender of the message is shown in this column. Messages about the operation of the system (scheduled down time etc.) will typically come from our Contact Centre, Bendigo OnCall, while messages about new bank services may come from an account representative.
Date / Time Sent
This column shows when the message was sent.
Category / Subject
A general classification of the query type (e.g. Account Inquiry, e-banking Inquiry, Card Inquiry) and a brief summary/description of the content of the message.
Action Buttons
There are two action buttons available:
Read
Pressing the Read button will display the full details of the message including the message text.
Delete
Pressing the Delete button will immediately remove the
message from your list.

Reading a Secure Email Message
You can read a message by ticking the checkbox to the left of the message and then clicking on the Read button.
The message will appear on a new screen showing the following information:
From
The sender of the message.
Date & Time
When the message was sent.
Subject
A summary of the message.
The text of the message appears
directly below the details described above.
Action Buttons
There are three action buttons available:
Delete
Pressing the Delete button will immediately delete the
message and return you to the Inbox.
Reply
If you want to reply to the message, click on the Reply button and you will be presented with a new window where you can compose and send your message. Click

Back
If you want to keep the message, click on the Back button and you will be returned to the Inbox. The message will be saved in your Inbox with the status changed to Unread.

Deleting a Secure Email Message
You can delete messages on the Inbox screen by ticking the checkbox to the left of the message then clicking the Delete button. The message will be removed from the list of messages.

Print
This feature enables you to print only the relevant information contained on the current page. The navigation elements and action buttons will not be printed, ensuring that all relevant details will fit on the page.
To print the current page in a printer-friendly format, select Print from the top of the screen (next to the Help link). Then, from the print preview window, select the Print button to direct the print-out to your preferred printer or the Close button to return to your Bendigo e-banking window. |
