The following is further information on the foreign exchange services we offer:

Telegraphic Transfers

A Telegraphic Transfer is one of the quickest methods of transferring money overseas and within Australia. A message is forwarded by Bank Tele-Transmission to an overseas correspondent instructing them to pay a beneficiary a specified sum of money at the request of the Customer.

Fees:

• A $30 fee is charged for payment of funds to another institution, within Australia or overseas, by Telegraphic Transfer ($15 for shareholders).
• The corresponding bank may also charge a handling fee.
• A $2 fee is charged for acceptances of a payment by Telegraphic Transfer from another institution within Australia.
• A $10 fee is charged for acceptance of a payment by Telegraphic Transfer from an overseas institution.

Online Telegraphic Transfers

Telegraphic Transfers can be performed through Bendigo e-banking. To register for online Telegraphic Transfers phone us 1300 BENDIGO (1300 236 344).

For a demonstration on online telegraphic transfers, please visit the Bendigo Bank Website via http://www.bendigobank.com.au/e-banking/demo/logon.html, then follow the below steps:

Foreign Cash

It doesn’t matter where you’re going or how long you’re going for, it’s always good to have some of the local currency in your pocket when you arrive.

Talk to your nearest Bendigo Bank branch about our great rates and fast turnaround times on foreign cash – our friendly staff can then have your money ready for you before you leave.

• $5 or 1.00% of AUD amount, whichever is greater, to purchase or sell foreign currency.

Bank Drafts

A Draft is a foreign currency Bank Cheque drawn on an overseas bank.

Benefits:

• A Draft allows Customers to forward funds to an overseas recipient in a form which:
  • is acceptable in most countries
  • is in the recipient's currency (therefore does not require conversion)
  • does not incur delays in receiving funds (ie. clearance of Australian cheques).
• All currencies are available on request.

• A $10 fee will be charged for the purchase of a Bank Draft ($5 for shareholders).
• A $25 fee will be charged for placing a Stop Payment on a Bank Draft.

Travellers Cheques

Travellers Cheques are a safe way of carrying funds overseas or within Australia substituting for cash.

They are available in the following currencies:

• AUD
• CAD
• CHF
• EUR
• JPY
• USD
• GBP

• Worldwide acceptance.
• May be cashed at banks, hotels, restaurants, airports, shops, etc.

• $10 AUD or 1.00% of AUD amount, whichever is greater, to purchase American Express Travellers Cheques.

• Commission-free for Bendigo Bank shareholders

Multi - Currency Cash Passport

Introduction

The Multi-currency Cash Passport is a pre-paid MasterCard Chip & PIN travel money card which can be loaded with up to 7 currencies: AUD, USD, GBP, EUR, NZD, SGD and HKD.
The card is NOT linked to a bank account and can be issued instantly over the counter to Bendigo and Adelaide Bank Limited customers only.
Multi-currency Cash Passport can only be purchased with clear funds transferred from a Bendigo Bank account.

Currencies Available

Cash Passport is available in the following currencies

• USD - United States Dollars
• GBP - Great British Pounds (or Pound Sterling)
• EUR - Euro (for countries in the European Union)
• NZD - New Zealand Dollars
• AUD - Australian Dollars
• HKD - Hong Kong Dollars
