The $100 million, six-storey office building is a landmark redevelopment of the city centre. It will incorporate a new shopping complex, cafes and outdoor meeting areas – including a timber-decked Bendigo Creek – and has been styled as “Bendigo’s Southbank” (although maybe the creek is not quite the Yarra … it may actually be cleaner!)
The building itself is eco-friendly, with a range of features including under-floor air conditioning, atriums for natural light, external blinds to track the sun, louvres for natural airflow, rainwater tanks and black-water recycling (don’t even think of asking!).
