Keeping safe while making day to day purchases
In light of the recent impact of coronavirus (COVID-19), we have some important hygiene tips when using your card:
Minimise physical contact
Do not hand your card to the merchant when making a purchase. Minimise physical contact with card merchant terminals wherever possible.
Go contactless
Tap to pay wherever possible. Tap & Go™ is a contactless technology where you can tap your card rather than inserting the card in the merchant terminal.
Use mobile payments
Use your phone to make purchases. This includes Apple Pay, Samsung Pay, Google Pay, Garmin Pay or Fitbit Pay. View mobile payments to find out how to get started.
Avoid spreading germs
When using an ATM or for purchases at a merchant where you need to enter your PIN please ensure your hands are protected or wash them afterwards to avoid spreading germs.
