Getting started is easy
- Simple set up - It’s easy to make Dynamic Currency Conversion (DCC) part of your business. Complete the DCC application form on the Tyro Portal or call 1300 108 976.
- Intuitive conversion - As soon as the EFTPOS machine detects a foreign card it offers the customer the option to pay in their home currency or Australian dollars.
- Smarter currency display - The receipt and EFTPOS machine show the transaction amount in local and foreign currency, including the exchange rate applied.
- Your customers, their currency - Even when a customer elects to pay in their home currency, your accounts will show the amount in Australian dollars.

Things you should know
1 Tyro does not guarantee any cost savings by opting in for Tap & Save. Savings on eligible transactions processed through the cheapest network vary for each business depending on their card mix, transaction volume and amount, industry, and pricing plan. Eligible transactions are contactless debit card transactions less than $1,000. Tap & Save is not available on Special Offer pricing which includes some flat fee simple pricing offers or where you surcharge on debit card transactions as cost savings may not be realised. 2 Average time taken to authorise a payment transaction, from 1 March 2020 to 30 June 2020. Measured as the average time elapsed from a cardholder presenting the card on the EFTPOS machine to the return of the authorisation on the EFTPOS machine from the card schemes, covering approximately 95% of Tyro’s EFTPOS machine fleet in production.
