Late last year, we announced a strategic partnership with Tyro to provide you and your customers with simpler and more flexible, feature rich payment solutions. Since the announcement, we have been working hard to plan the migration of our customers to our new Bendigo Bank powered by Tyro product.

You may be aware, Tyro experienced a connectivity issue earlier this year which affected a limited group of its merchant customers. While there has been no impact whatsoever to Bendigo Bank customers, we have closely observed and taken this situation seriously and have been working directly with Tyro to understand the issue, its resolution and to ensure this issue will not affect our migration activities and timings, and importantly, you our customer.

To provide further background on the incident, an issue existed in specific versions of the terminal platform software installed on some of Tyro’s Worldline terminals which caused them to lose connectivity with Tyro’s network. Tyro has confirmed the issue was contained and that at no time was the security of the terminals, nor merchant data, compromised. The issue has since been resolved and this software will not be present in any of the terminals that will be deployed to the Bendigo Bank powered by Tyro product.

Our number one priority is always to ensure you can continue to operate your business without interruption so you can spend your time focusing on your business and your customers. We would like to assure you that  the Bendigo Bank powered by Tyro product will provide you with greater functionality and more payment options, ultimately delivering a better experience for you and your customers.

We continue to work closely with Tyro on the Bendigo Bank powered by Tyro proposition, and we will be in touch with our existing merchant customers over the next few months to communicate our migration plan and next steps.

If you have further questions, please contact our Merchant Services team on 1300 132 741. We will be delighted to assist you with any queries you may have.
