About us

About us

Community Bank BDCU is operated by BDCU Financial Services PTY LTD, a wholly owned subsidiary of BDCU Limited.

BDCU Limited is a Member-owned mutual that has been supporting the needs of the Southern Highlands and Southern Tablelands for almost 60 years.

Community Bank BDCU exists to create local opportunity and choice for our Members and community.

When you choose Community Bank BDCU, you’re helping to build strong and vibrant communities.

History of BDCU Limited.

The Berrima District Credit Union (BDCU) was established in 1963 by a group of co-workers at Southern Portland Cement. In a spare room of the cements works, they pooled their resources and established a savings and loan fund. This was a response to a social need of the time - the need for easier access to low value loans. Members of a community came together to help members of their community.

The communities we serve have grown exponentially since those early days, as have the needs of our community and the environment within which we operate. However our purpose has not changed, nor our value to our community.

BDCU Limited has supported the banking need of our community and enjoyed a long partnership with Bendigo Bank. First through the Alliance Bank Model and now through BDCU Financial Services PTY Limited operating Community Bank BDCU.
