Bikes for Mallacoota

16 July 2020
After the fires, what Mallacoota Secondary College’s Bike Skills and Safety Program needed were replacement bikes and that’s exactly what they’ve now got.

It was a phone call from the Melbourne-based club to the college principal which got the ball rolling, or in this case, the wheels turning.

The school had lost the bikes used in program in the bushfires and although requests for funding had been made, it fell a long way down the priority list.

People had donated bikes but what was really needed were replacement mountain bikes.

The five bikes, including protective gear and spare sets of brakes, will be ready for the new 2020 semester sessions of the program.

Thank you Rotary!
