Tech support helps BlazeAid make an impact

17 February 2021

BlazeAid is a volunteer-based organisation. They work with regional and rural communities across Australia following natural disasters. They're helping to rebuild fences and lives in the aftermath of the Black Summer Bushfires.

The funds donated to the Bendigo Bank bushfire appeals significantly assisted BlazeAid. $1.6 million went to funding trailers, equipment, fencing and volunteer camps.

BlazeAid identified the need for an automated system to record valuable statistics. This would help them support farmers with vital fence repair. The NSW Bushfire Appeal quickly responded with a $20,000 grant. This has provided the NSW camps with iPads enabling volunteers to collect data in real time.

The insights will help volunteers support those in need and will provide Blazeaid with the ability to measure their impact.

A big shout out to all of you who donated to make this possible!
