Two foundations partner to help communities recover

19 February 2021

Community Enterprise Foundation and The Australian Lions Foundation have formed an important partnership. Together we're making a real difference in local communities.

This strong relationship will enable significant bushfire funding to reach communities in need. The Australia wide Lions Foundation network will be key in driving this.

Through a grass roots movement, they're partnering with organisations from bushfire affected areas. They'll touch communities Australia-wide from Stanthorpe in Queensland to Mallacoota in Victoria. They'll assist communities with the rebuild and recovery of vital programs and infrastructure. Already we've helped the Corryong Food Share Service and Tallangatta Memorial Hall.

This week we had the honour of meeting with the Chair of the Australian Lions Foundation Tony Benbow. He presented our CEO, David Impey, with a plaque recognising our strong partnership. It also commemorates the one-year anniversary of the Black Summer bushfires.
