North East Victorian families say thanks!

13 February 2020

Your donations will help indigenous families and individuals who have lost their homes in north east Victoria.

The Victorian Aboriginal Child Care Agency Co-op is distributing $100,000 to provide emergency relief for locals in the Toowong and Alpine municipalities.

In the Toowong Shire alone, 42 homes were lost.

The co-op team is reaching out to people and has started to distribute your donations to those in need.

Situations staff have come across include one family with no running water as a result of the fires. The family has been relocated to Wodonga and the children are making the three-plus hours round trip to their primary school in Corryong.

Once water has been restored, they will be able to return home. Until then, the family will live between two communities.

Thank you!
