There’s at least six months work in the NSW town of Tumbarumba to clean up and recover from bushfires.
The BlazeAid camp had only opened on Monday 11 February and already 89 farms have been registered for assistance.
Volunteers are spending almost 12 hours a day, seven days a week, assessing farms and helping these farming families get back on their feet.
And, of course, winter is coming. So the more help BlazeAid can get in the region now, the better chance they will have to complete the work required before it gets too cold.
All volunteers, especially those with fencing experience, will be welcomed. There are many different functions to ensure a smooth running camp and everyone has a role to play.
