Safety first in Tasmania

A $3,000 grant from the Tasmania Bushfire Appeal will improve safety equipment and operating standards.

Lilydale Fire Brigade volunteers will receive small backpacks containing safety and personal equipment.

The backpacks will raise the safety levels for volunteers. It allows them to work safer for longer periods. Firefighters often need to be self-sufficient while undertaking arduous, remote firefighting activities.
