In south east Gippsland, $2.5 million from the Victorian Bushfire Appeal (your donations) is currently being distributed to local people in need.
Of that, more than $1.79 million has been distributed in 792 payments to benefit 1693 people. Your donations are making a difference.
Funds are being distributed to a wide range of people who have experienced varying levels of loss.
From those who have lost their homes to others whose homes have been damaged by fire.
Your donations are providing a roof over the heads of people who are still taking stock of the damage and making decisions about what to do next.
Gippsland Emergency Relief Fund is on the ground and making sure people who need help, are receiving that help.
A wholly volunteer run organisation, this group is continuing to provide aid with your generous donations. They are helping locals as they prepare for the recovery phase of what we know will be a long journey for many of them.
