How we can help
Our assistance package is for personal and business customers affected by natural disasters. These could include events such as bushfires, floods, storms, droughts and tropical cyclones.
We understand our customers will have different needs. Assistance may come in the form of help with loans, insurance claims, or accessing funds.

Customers affected by cyclone Seroja
We understand the impacts that Cyclone Seroja will have on our customers. An assistance package has been created to help those in need.
These include:
- Home Loan and Business Loan customers can apply for relief on loans for up to three months;
- Discounted interest rates on new personal loans taken out by existing Bendigo Bank customers;
- Waiver of interest rate reduction for early withdrawals on term deposits prior to maturity;
- No 'loan break' costs for customers with a fixed rate who use an insurance payment to pay out their loan;
- Existing customers with home and contents insured through CGU Insurance can apply for emergency funds and temporary accommodation costs.

If you are a Bendigo Bank Insurance customer with a damaged home, rental building, car or other property please get in touch with us. We can help you make a claim or offer advice. To make a claim on your Bendigo insurance policy, please call 13 24 80.
Government assistance
Support is available for those affected by the cyclone.
Government relief payments of $1,000 per adult and $400 for each child younger than 16 years of age available. Call Services Australia on 180 22 66 or visit the Services Australia website.

NSW residents adversely affected by the flooding can claim Government relief payments of $1,000 per adult and $400 for each child younger than 16 years of age by calling Services Australia on 180 22 66 or visiting the Services Australia website.
Special Disaster Grants for Primary Producers
NSW and Australian Governments announced the availability of Special Disaster Grants (SDG) of up to $75,000 to support eligible primary producers impacted by the March 2021 storms and floods.
Eligible primary producers recovering from the devastating impacts of floods may receive vital support to help pay for immediate clean-up and repairs to infrastructure.
These grants will be available through the NSW Rural Assistance Authority (RAA) to eligible flood-affected local government areas in NSW.

Small Business Grants
Grants of up to $50,000 for eligible small business owners and not-for-profit organisations are available through Service NSW.
