Bendigo Bank has lowered interest rates on a number of its most popular credit cards. The Platinum credit card rate has been dropped by 1% to 18.99% p.a., while the Basic Black credit card rate has been reduced 0.25% to 12.24% p.a.

Bendigo Bank's Executive Retail Dennis Bice, said the rate reductions would be welcomed by existing customers or those looking for a better deal.

"Our Platinum credit card has a great rate, low annual fees and a generous rewards program – three key features we know a lot of customers look for," he said.

"Travellers will also love the complimentary travel insurance they receive when they purchase their trip on Platinum.

"Meanwhile, our Basic Black credit card boasts one of the lowest rates and annual fees in the market.

"This award winning credit card is perfect for people looking for a no-frills product, that represents great value for money," said Mr Bice.

Following being crowned Roy Morgan’s Business Bank of the Year for the fourth year running, the Bank has also lowered the rate on its credit card for businesses.

"The Just Business MasterCard credit card rate is down 0.65% to 13.99% p.a., in addition to a great rate it has a low monthly card fee so it’s perfect for savvy business owners," Mr Bice said.
