Bank supports flood affected customers and communities

12 January 2011 |Media centre

Bendigo and Adelaide Bank, along with the rest of the nation, is shocked and devastated by the flood disaster unfolding in Queensland.

To ensure their safety, all staff from impacted branches and the Ipswich office have been evacuated, with operations redirected to other regions within the bank’s national network.

The bank would like to reassure all customers and shareholders that it is working through any disruptions caused by the floods. The bank has comprehensive plans in place in the event of tragic circumstances like this, to ensure the continuity of business for our customers.

For those people impacted by the floods, please know you have the support and well wishes of everyone at Bendigo and Adelaide Bank. We are all thinking of you in what must be very difficult circumstances.

Many of our customers will be impacted by these events and the bank is here to help now and into the future as Queensland looks to rebuild and recover.

The bank is also urging those who can, to give generously to the Queensland Flood Appeal. Donations can be made at any Bendigo Bank branch or online at www.bendigobank.com.au.
