Bendigo Bank's Basic Black Credit Card has been named as a winner in Your Money Magazine's Best of the Best Awards for 2011.

The credit card won silver in the category of Best Low-Rate Credit Card, with the Banks' Head of Access and Payment Systems, Greg Devlin, pleased but not surprised by the recognition.

"This credit card has been turning customers’ heads for quite some time now", he said.

"At Bendigo Bank we’ve gone back to basics in an effort to bring our customers a credit card that offers real value for money.

"When creating the Basic Black Credit Card, we took the time to listen to what our customers actually wanted.

"As a result, we’ve given customers what they really want-a card that represents great value for money, easy to use and simple to understand," Mr Devlin said.

With the Basic Black customers enjoy a low interest rate, a fairer way of charging interest and cash advances charges at the same low rate, with up to 44 days interest free on every purchase.

There's also a low annual fee, you can add additional card holders for free and use it in Australia or overseas. You have access to internet and phone banking as well as access to 24-hour support if the card is lost or stolen in Australia or overseas.
