Strengthening communities, strengthening our clubs
Bendigo Bank extends partnership with AFL Central Victoria for a sixth year

12 April 2023 |Announcements

Australia's most trusted bank, Bendigo Bank, has extended its partnership with AFL Central Victoria for a sixth year running. The decision to sign on for another year as the league’s major sponsor is aligned with the Bank’s longstanding purpose of feeding into the prosperity of its customers and their communities.

The partnership between Bendigo Bank and AFL Central Victoria will see funding flow to football teams, netball teams and umpires in towns across central and northern Victoria, from Bendigo to Swan Hill across both junior and senior leagues.

Kendall Beattie, Regional Manager, Bendigo Bank North Central Victoria, said supporting and strengthening communities was central to the Bank’s purpose.

“Our vision is to be Australia’s bank of choice. We believe that successful customers and successful communities create a successful bank, but only in that order. It’s a unique point of difference that sets us apart,” Mr Beattie said.

Craig Armstead, Regional General Manager of AFL Central Victoria is looking forward to the partnership growing, reiterating the importance of community-focused businesses to help support player and umpire development.

“Having an organisation such as Bendigo Bank as our major partner again this season means we can continue to provide our community with what brings them together most – sport,” Mr Armstead said.

AFL Central Victoria services the Bendigo Football Netball League (FNL), Bendigo Junior FL, Heathcote District FNL, Loddon Valley FNL, North Central FL, Central Murray FNL, Golden Rivers FNL, Central Victorian FL and Bendigo Umpires Association.
