29 June 2021 |Announcements

Bendigo Bank has outlined its support for customers adversely financially affected by the latest COVID-19 restrictions. Impacted customers are encouraged to contact the Bank as soon as possible to discuss the range of support options available to them.

Marnie Baker, Managing Director, Bendigo Bank, said, “We’ve assisted our customers throughout the pandemic and want to assure those negatively affected by the latest rounds of COVID-19 restrictions that we are ready to help.”

“An array of financial difficulty assistance measures are available - whether you are an individual, business or farmer. If you are worried about your finances, please contact us as quickly as possible, as the earlier you get in touch the quicker we will be able to assist.

“As one of Australia’s biggest banks and most trusted brands, we’re in a strong position to help you through this. Bendigo Bank has had, and will continue to have, an important role to play in supporting customers as they recover and rebuild. This is a direct reflection of our 162-year-old purpose – to feed into prosperity, not off it.

“We will continue to stand shoulder to shoulder with all our customers throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, while simultaneously striving to play a critical role in providing credit to support the Australian economy.

“We’ve always been here for you and your communities. And we always will be,” Ms Baker concluded.

If you or your business require financial help during this difficult time, we are offering assistance based on specific individual needs and the severity of the impact. These assistance measures are available to all customers and can include:

  • Ability to apply for relief on your loan, whether that is a home loan, residential investment loan, line of credit, personal loan, business loan, personal credit card, equipment finance loan or personal overdraft
  • Fees waived to restructure or consolidate loans
  • Other fees waived or deferred
  • No interest rate reduction for early withdrawals on term deposits

Impacted Bendigo Bank customers are advised to speak with their local Branch Manager, Business Banking Manager or contact our Mortgage Help Centre on 1300 652 146 regarding financial hardship and applying for assistance or visit: https://www.bendigobank.com.au/help/coronavirus-assistance-package/
