Bendigo Bank provides relief for flood customers
As Bendigo and Adelaide Bank’s QLD Flood Appeal reached $100,000 today, staff on the ground in North Queensland continued their work with customers affected by the natural disaster.
State Manager Ashley Hood said the bank is supporting affected householders and business people as part of its hardship provisions policy.
“There are many ways we can assist these customers whose livelihoods have been impacted by these flood waters, including provision for a three-month waiver of loan repayments,” Mr Hood said.
“Of course, our Mortgage Help Centre will also work with affected customers on programs to ease their path to recovery.
“Our aim is to help them get back on their feet as quickly as possible,” Mr Hood said.
All customers experiencing hardship are encouraged to contact staff at their local branch or business banker.
“Our close connections with community leaders will also ensure the bank plays a significant role in recovery long after the flood waters subside,” Mr Hood said.
The Appeal reached $50,000 in community donations today, with Bendigo and Adelaide Bank donating a further $50,000. At close of business today, the Appeal had reached $100,841.
Donations can be made online or at any branch of Bendigo and Adelaide Bank.
Donations over $2 are tax-deductible.
