Bendigo to launch new branch in Bunbury
Bendigo Bank will launch a company owned branch in Bunbury - what has become the Community Bank® heart of WA.
The company owned branch will open for business in Bunbury at 9am Monday, 31 March.
WA State Manager Vicki Pearce said the branch would be joining 35 well established Community Bank® branches in the region, bringing the total number of Bendigo branches in WA to 37.
“WA has the highest concentration of community owned branches, compared with company branches, in Australia,” Ms Pearce said.
“We have company owned branches in Perth and Joondalup and as well as providing a traditional banking service to customers, it also provides a resource hub for nearby Community Bank® branches.
“To our customers, there will be no difference – whether they bank in a community owned or a company owned branch.
“The products and services are exactly the same and the friendly and professional service does not vary.
“The difference is that the community owned branches are exactly that – they are owned by the local community and operated in partnership with Bendigo.
“In WA alone, Community Bank companies have returned $1.59 million in community contributions and $989,000 in local shareholder dividends.
“These contributions range from $10,000-plus towards the St John’s ambulance service to the recent sponsorship of the Rotary Club South Bunbury (Inc), for the annual district conference.
The Bunbury branch is located at Unit 3, 7 Stirling Street, Bunbury, and will open from 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday.
The staff at Bunbury, led by Branch Manager Barry Ross, will be supported by 2 full-time and 3 part-time customer service officers.
There will be a Bunbury office will also include a Business Banking Centre, and 2 business banking staff will be based there to provide support for Bendigo Bank’s Western Australia’s Southern Region.
