Bendigo's business customer satisfaction increases to new high
Bendigo Bank has the highest business customer service rating in terms of business banking within Australia’s financial sector, according to new research released by TNS Business Finance Monitor.
Bendigo’s customer satisfaction rating increased to 94.4 per cent, an 8.1 per cent increase from the previous 12 months.
Bendigo Bank was the only financial institution to rate in the 90s, with the nearest regional bank result 88.9 per cent and the highest of the major banks rating 79.0 per cent.
Bendigo Bank chief general manager retail Russell Jenkins said the most pleasing aspect of the result was the 8.1 per cent increase in the rating.
“Of course, it’s terrific to rate the highest of any other financial institution, but the fact that our business bankers are obviously continuing to improve their service to customers, and this has been recognised in the survey, is a great result,” Mr Jenkins said.
“The significance of these reports cannot be underestimated. They are important because the service provided by our business bankers is being rated by our customers.
“For some time our customer satisfaction has rated highly but that has predominantly been around our consumer customers - ‘our Mums and Dads’.
“This result is particularly pleasing because it indicates that our business banking service is also highly regarded and it just goes to show that our company has developed to the point where we are recognised for also servicing the small to medium business sector.
“I congratulate our business bankers who are based within our branch and business office network nationally, and of course, encourage them to continue to provide the professional and friendly service which has obviously been recognised, and appreciated, by customers,” Mr Jenkins said.
The TNS Business Finance Monitor report is based on a rolling annual sample of approximately 9,900 non-agri businesses with an annual turnover of up to $100 million.
