Bendigo Bank encourages borrowers to review their home loan for a cosier fit

4 March 2024 |Announcements

With Autumn now upon us and many of us considering our wardrobe for the colder months ahead, Bendigo Bank is urging Australians to take a closer look at whether their home loan is appropriate in the current climate.

The Bank’s free Home Loan Health Check is available to anyone and helps everyday Australians take stock of their current needs and how they may be able to save money by switching lenders.

Bendigo Bank customers Penny and Ross did just that and saved themselves $5772 in their first year of their home loan*. The couple, who are building a new home for their family reached out to one of Bendigo Bank’s expert mobile home loan lenders and couldn’t be happier with the result.

“The thing that I love most about Bendigo Bank is the ease in which I can reach out and I know that they’re there. Bendigo Bank knew what we needed from the very beginning and helped us make it all happen,” Penny said.

“For me managing the project, the financial side can be a little bit overwhelming so having all three accounts being managed in one spot with Bendigo Bank, and the team at Bendigo Bank helping me navigate the finances, the administration, the payments, makes it so much easier for me. It really saves me time.”

“We had spent a lot of time talking to other banks, and had really felt like they didn’t realise there were people on the other end of the conversation, whereas with our Bendigo Bank Lender, we really felt like she took the time to understand who we were, she took the time to understand what the project was and was able to shape the Bendigo Bank products to suit our needs,” Ross said.

“We’ve found the whole Bendigo Bank experience fantastic.”

Bendigo Bank Mobile Lending Manager, Amanda Flemming said the Norris family were referred to her by another customer and after their initial home loan health check, she managed to save them around $481 per month in repayments*.

“A home loan health check is where we go through all the customers current loans and accounts with other banks, and we figure out the best option going forward for what it is they need. In Ross and Penny’s case, they both work from home so having a mobile lender makes life easier for them and it fits into their lifestyle,” Amanda said.

“If you’re thinking about refinancing your home loan or wondering whether that dream home is in reach, what we would say is please, call Bendigo Bank today, do your home loan health check. You can absolutely trust the experience and the flexibility at Bendigo Bank, and I don’t think you need to go anywhere else,” Ross said.

“With cost-of-living presenting challenges for many Australians, it’s never been a better time to do a stocktake on your home loan,” Mr Fennell said.

“At Bendigo Bank, we have a variety of different options to suit your needs and a long list of mobile lenders and in branch lending specialists to help you save money along the way.
