Bushfire Appeal total hits $1.6 million

Bendigo and Adelaide Bank’s Bushfire Appeal donation total now stands at more than $1.6 million dollars.

This figure is expected to continue to rise in coming days as major companies and organisations conduct their own collections.

People wishing to donate money to a specific community can do so by visiting a branch and indicating the location they wish to help.  People can also elect for their contribution to go towards helping injured animals.

The donation total will be displayed on the Bendigo Bank website and updated daily.

The funds will be administered by the bank’s philanthropic arm, Community Enterprise Foundation.

People wanting to donate can donate online or call into any branch of Bendigo and Adelaide Bank. At this stage, phone donations cannot be accepted.

Donations of $2 or more are tax-deductible.

Bendigo and Adelaide Bank customers affected by the fires are urged to contact their local branch or call 1300 366 666.
