The practice of ‘live baiting’ is illegal and abhorrent. Bendigo and Adelaide Bank supports moves by the relevant authorities and organisations to take immediate action to stop these practices.
Two of our more than 500 branches offered small sponsorships to their local greyhound racing clubs. They have now decided to end these agreements.
Our Bank continues to partner with community organisations committed to improving standards in the greyhound racing industry. We sponsor the Greyhound Adoption Program Queensland, we have contributed more than $2 million to the RSPCA’s Adopt-a-Pet initiative, and support the RSPCA’s broader work which aims to ensure all animals are treated humanely.
