Bendigo Bank, in partnership with the Government of South Australia, is proud to be the Platinum Event Sponsor of the 2015 Unleashed open data competition.

From 3 - 5 July 2015, Bendigo Bank's 80 Grenfell Street premises will host South Australia's brightest innovative minds in the third Unleashed event, part of the Gov-Hack competition held across Australia and New Zealand.

Promoting ingenuity, youth development and community engagement, the competition invites teams to create the best mash-up of data, new services smart phone applications and web tools using non-sensitive Government data.

Competitors will have just 46 hours to craft a video pitch showcasing their ideas, proof of concepts and how they will reuse the data.

Completed in 2013, the Bank's Adelaide headquarters will offer teams a unique working environment with collaborative work spaces, relaxation zones and state-of-the-art technology.

As one of Adelaide's largest employers, more than 1,100 staff work from the 80 Grenfell Street office, featuring a large outdoor terrace and on-site café, which will both be available to competitors.

Bendigo Bank State Manager SA/NT, Joe Formichella, said that hosting the competition at 80 Grenfell Street would provide competitors with an environment and facilities conducive to successful collaboration and innovation.

"We have a world-class office here in Adelaide that is five-star Green Star architecturally designed, with working spaces devised to inspire, invigorate and encourage high performance and greater interaction between people," he said.

"We know that people with a purpose make great things happen and opening our doors for Unleashed, sharing our facilities and fostering the creativity of young minds, can only be a good thing for the future of our state."

Alysha Thomas, Office for Digital Government, said that the partnership signified Bendigo Bank's commitment to the development of young creative and lateral-thinking minds.

"We are pleased to welcome Bendigo Bank as the Platinum Event Sponsor, who is providing our exciting new Unleashed venue at their 80 Grenfell Street office," said Ms Thomas.

"Bendigo Bank is committed to the South Australian community and through Unleashed, they continue to support digital entrepreneurs, progressive thinkers and future leaders in South Australia to flourish."

For more than 150 years, Bendigo Bank has played an important role in South Australia, supporting individuals and communities to achieve their goals. This is just one way that we are Bigger than a Bank.
