Bendigo and Adelaide Bank’s philanthropic arm, Community Enterprise Foundation™ has launched the Victorian Flood Appeal.

In the past week heavy rains have caused extensive damage across Victoria; with more than 40 communities affected by flooding over the weekend.

Bendigo and Adelaide Bank’s Victorian State Manager, Vicki Pearce, said the bank was pleased to be able to launch the appeal to assist flood affected communities.

“Many communities have been shocked by the impact of the floods and the widespread damage that has occurred,” Mrs Pearce said.

“Bendigo and Adelaide Bank is proud to be able to assist the community by launching the Victorian Flood Appeal and is calling for public donations to help support those who have been affected by the floods.”

Community Enterprise Foundation™, Chief Executive Officer, Callum Wright said, the foundation had extensive experience helping communities to recover from natural disasters by providing them with a channel through which to raise funds.

“Recovering from a natural disaster is a long process, but our experience shows that it can be done with the help and compassion of others,” Mr Wright said.

“Many families have lost everything and I’d like to encourage everyone to dig deep and give what you can.”

Donations to the Victorian Flood Appeal can be made at any Bendigo Bank branch or online. Donations of $2 or more are tax deductible.
