Bendigo Bank applauds Women in Banking and Finance winner

Bendigo Bank is proud to announce that Janelle Wehsack, General Manager Transformation & Strategic Execution, Consumer has received the Achievement for Operations Technology or Customer Support award at the 2025 Women in Banking and Finance Awards, held last night. 

These national awards recognise outstanding contributions from women to the banking industry and platform the importance of diversity and inclusion in finance through celebrating the achievements of the women who are shaping the future of the sector.

This accolade recognises leadership in the areas of operations, technology, or customer support within the realm of business and industry. It honors individuals, teams, or organisations that have demonstrated exceptional performance, innovation, and dedication in driving operational excellence, leveraging technology to enhance efficiency and effectiveness, and delivering superior customer support experiences while keeping gender diversity & inclusion top of mind.

Bendigo Bank Chief Executive Officer, Richard Fennell, congratulated Janelle on her remarkable achievement.

"I am incredibly proud to see Janelle’s efforts and successes have been acknowledged with this award,” Mr Fennell said.

"On behalf of everyone at Bendigo Bank, I thank her for her leadership and passion over her long career with us. Janelle has spent an incredible 37 years strengthening our organisation. This award is a testament to her and her team’s most recent successes in innovating, streamlining and uplifting customer experiences with the implementation of our market leading Bendigo Lending Platform,” he said.

Showcasing our incredible female leaders through awards like this is key, and I hope inspires the female leaders of the future, who cannot be what they cannot see.
