Bendigo Bank is proud to reaffirm its commitment to celebrating diversity in regional communities by partnering with the Bendigo Pride Festival for the sixth consecutive year.
This year's festival will run from Tuesday 14 April to Sunday 19 April. The new dates have been scheduled to coincide with the school holidays, making the festivities more accessible for families and young people across the region.
As a key supporter of the festival, Bendigo Bank is proud to present two of its signature events:
- The Glam Tram on Friday 17 April from 6 - 8pm
- Pride in the Park on Saturday 18 April from 10am - 4pm
The festival will officially commence with a flag-raising ceremony at the Bendigo Library Gardens on Tuesday 14 April, at 11am. Bendigo Bank's Chief Marketing Officer and executive sponsor for the Bank's pride activities, Sarah Bateson, will join City of Greater Bendigo Mayor, Cr Thomas Prince, to kick off the celebrations.
Ms Bateson stated that the Bank's long-standing support for the Bendigo Pride Festival is about putting the Bank's core values into action.
"The Bendigo Pride Festival is a wonderful and vibrant celebration of diversity and inclusion here in central Victoria," Ms. Bateson said.
"This sponsorship marks Bendigo Bank’s sixth year supporting this key LGBTQIA+ event in our hometown of Bendigo, demonstrating our ongoing commitment to being the better big bank and championing inclusion, especially in regional areas.”
"We are proud to sponsor this event as part of our unwavering commitment to creating a safe, inclusive, and empowering environment for all members of our community."
