Supporting local producers
From humble beginnings the market has grown to be a Saturday morning fixture with 50 stalls featuring only local producers operated by the people who grow or make the produce.
This makes the Margaret River Market one of only a few genuine farmers’ markets in WA.
So when the local Augusta & Districts Community Bank® Branch heard about a need for new sound equipment to enhance the market experience, they were happy to jump on board and provide the support with a $2,000 contribution.
Local Branch Manager Nigel Jenkins said branch staff team and directors understand the importance of supporting local business and producers in our communities to succeed – it’s the premise of the Community Bank® model.
The new sound equipment will allow celebrity or local chefs to give cooking demonstrations showcasing the local produce.
