Driving students to road safety
Our branch is helping prepare students for the highway of life through a new safe driving program.
The RYDE program has recently been introduced in WA, in particular the Bassendean, Cockburn & Mandurah areas.
The program is designed for students who are unable to complete the necessary 50 hours of supervised driving due to not having access to a responsible mentor/driver.
Partnered with other local not-for-profit organisations, RYDE provides students with a responsible volunteer/mentor to take them for supervised driving lessons.
Along with its volunteers, the RYDE program requires iPads to run the necessary software. Our branch was happy to donate the iPads through our Community Impact Funding scheme held with Community Sector Banking.
Students were also provided with an information pack. The pack included information on Student banking products, car safety and head space information.
If you know someone who would benefit from the RYDE program, please come see our friendly branch staff for more information.
