Tee-Up For Kids Foundation

In 2017, off the back of ‘Tee Up For Kids’ golf tournaments in all of our eight regions, Regional Victoria raised and gifted $62,000 to the Tee Up For Kids Foundation for distribution through local aid agencies.

With the knowledge that each individual regions earnings are locally donated it was certainly an easy decision to continue to support the Tee Up For Kids Foundation again in 2018.

Our eight regions have recently finalised another round of regional golf tournaments, this year raising and gifting an additional $51,000 to Tee Up For Kids; which equates to a whopping $113,000 over the last two years!

During August & September representatives from the Tee Up For Kids Foundation will visit each region to personally thank staff for their efforts and provide the regions nominated agency with a cheque for the funds raised via their golf tournaments. It’s particularly rewarding to know that all funds raised in each region will stay in the region and will be spent on providing local children with a better start in life through targeted educational programs. Every $1,000 raised provides direct educational benefits to a local disadvantaged child, leading to improved numeracy and literacy, a happier school experience and better concentration levels, to name but a few of the benefits.

This year we will present funds to local agencies such as McKillop Family Services in Sunbury, Geelong and Warrnambool, Child, Adolescent & Family Services (CAFS) in Ballarat, Anglicare in Bendigo and the Berry Street Agency in Shepparton and Morwell.

The Tee Up For Kids foundation believes the generosity of golfers and non-golfers will give local disadvantaged children the same hopes and dreams that we have for our own children. Education is the key to the future success of these children and it is the primary objective of the Foundation to raise funds for these children’s educational purposes.

The enthusiasm and dedication that went into planning and executing these golf days is an absolute credit to our branch teams who were assisted by regional staff and support teams. Without the hard work and valuable time given by these individuals our eight regional tournaments simply would not have been a reality.

Helping just one disadvantaged child is something to be truly proud of but knowing that we’ve helped 113 children over the last two years via this medium makes all the hard work truly worthwhile!
